Weighing over 47 tons, the GD955-7R provides enhanced stability on hard surfaces. Its widened track and increased axle weight ensure stable operation. The long wheelbase offers a more aggressive blade angle, facilitating material flow and reducing required power.
3. Manoeuvrability
Despite its long wheelbase, the GD955-7R makes sharp turns with a 27° articulation angle, enabling effortless U-turns on a 24m road. Optimized controls with responsive levers allow the operator to use multiple commands with one hand. A steering wheel ensures safer movements, and the directional lever on the left console lets the operator steer the machine and control the equipment without changing arm position.
4. Robustness
The front chassis is designed to resist flexing and twisting with large sections reinforced by metal plates and optimized thickness. The rear chassis, with its C-frame structure, is both lightweight and strong. Additionally, the optimized powertrain layout makes maintenance easier.
