BIA Group announces the acquisition of BPM Construction, a well-established player in France specialized in the distribution of equipment for construction and extractive industries. This strategic move strengthens BIA's presence in Europe and opens new opportunities for BPM Construction's clients by combining the reach of an international group with the local proximity and field expertise of the French company.
BIA Group, an international player in the distribution of equipment for construction, mining and quarries, energy, transport and recycling, announces the acquisition of BPM Construction (formerly SAMI TP), a recognized specialist in France in the construction and extractive industries sector. This strategic move strengthens BIA's position in the European market and enriches the offer of solutions and services for French clients, combining the strength of an international group with BPM's local expertise.
Founded more than 120 years ago, BIA Group is a long-standing distributor of the Komatsu and Metso brands, present in Belgium, Luxembourg and more than 15 African countries. The group stands out for its high value-added after-sales services, including maintenance, supply of spare parts, support for large projects, technical training, implementation of reconditioning programs, telematics solutions and fleet management.
BPM Construction has more than 100 employees spread over six strategic sites (Nantes, Rennes, Bordeaux, Caen, Niort and Châteaulin) and offers a portfolio of brands including Komatsu, Metso and Kiverco. The integration of BPM Construction into the BIA Group strengthens the offer of innovative solutions while guaranteeing local technical support to clients.
