1902 - Georges BIA, a mining engineer, opened a sales office in Brussels to cover the Belgian and Congolese markets.
1930 - Start of crushing & screening activity with Nordberg dealership agreement.
1961 - Product Portfolio extension to earthmoving, construction and handling activities.
1977 - BIA Group extends its offering to the Energy sector with Cummins Engines and generator sets products.
1998 - Komatsu & BIA conclude a distribution agreement for six countries in Africa.
2004 – Komatsu dealership extension to 11 countries in Africa as well as the Benelux.
2006 – Komatsu certified technical training center creation in Dakar, Senegal.
2009 - Rental and used equipment activity development via MatRent and 2MAT.
2012 - New 3,000m² workshop in Belgium, with a repair and refurbishment capacities.
2012- 2018 - Product Portfolio extension to trucks with Foton & MAN dealership agreements.
2019 – Launch of SmartFleet, integrated innovation & technology competence centre.
- Inauguration of Zambian and Burkina Faso new facilities respectively 4500m² and 8000m² with rebuild and training facilities.
2020 – Extension and renovation of BIA’s historical building in Overijse, Belgium.
- Inauguration of a brand-new facility in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
2021 – Expansion of Metso dealership to BIA’s African territories.
- Completion of Mining and aggregate product range with Robit, Furukawa, and GHH dealerships respectively premium brand of rock tool, drilling, and underground mining equipment.
